* Freddie Hill (the only person I know who can simultaneously listen to Frank Zappa, hold a conversation and finishing scoring an arrangement for a brass band) 

* Danny Lee - Squash champion, legend singer and writer of memorable melodies. 

* Fox - A Bass player everyone wants in their band, and inveterate story teller.  

* Nelson Porter - stunningly gifted guitar player.    

* Paul Wheeler - One of nature's gentlest souls, great rock and roll keyboard player.  

* Jake Fryer - renowned sax player, who tried to get me to play jazz again (took a while Jake, but it got there) 

* Robin Bibi and Ed Hudson, for running all those blues jams in and around the Grey Horse Kingston 

* Mark Bowden (RIP) - my second drum teacher in Sydney 

* Merrick McCallum (RIP) - my original drum teacher in Grafton 

* Sisters Ann and Cecilia (from the St Cecilia's Music Academy, Grafton), who instilled the initial discipline and foundation of learning music. 

* Alan Moffat, who did his best to teach me trumpet and music theory in Grafton 

* Billy Clark, who succeeded in Teaching me Music Theory at the Scots College 

* Bruce Helmers, who coached me to being a better trumpet player 

* Ron Nairn, Big Band coach at the Scots College 

* Pan Pacific Music Camps 

* Every single musician that I've seen seen or heard play 

* My family, especially Heather (mum) and Ron (Dad) and Ben who endured all the musical squawks and meltdowns 

* Simon, Saffron and Freyja 

* Romeo the cat
